What is skin needling ?

Micro-Needling or Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) is a revolutionary non-invasive, non-surgical treatment with minimum downtime using a specialist medical device oscillation and microscopic needles to penetrate the skin in order to promote scarless healing and natural collagen production, elastin and new growth factors to improve various skin functions.

This micro-needling treatment is based on the natural rejuvenating and repairing power of the skin. Shortly after an injury to the human skin, the old and damaged skin tissue dissolves and is replaced by new cells. The gentle, controlled needling method used in the Dermapen Micro-Needle skin therapy encourages this organic self-repair mechanism on a microcosmic scale.

This method is extremely effective and is hugely popular with clients who prefer a rejuvenation method involving significantly less epidermal damage than alternative treatments.

Micro-Needling is a minimally invasive procedure which has very little downtime and is performed in a clean, medical environment. A mild sunburn sensation and erythema may be present for the first 24-48 hours after your treatment, daily activities can generally be continued the same or following day.
We do, however, ask our clients to avoid strenuous exercise, direct sun exposure or any activities that may cause excessive heat or perspiration or sun burn following their Dermapen treatment. Mineral makeup can be applied the day of your treatment to camouflage any redness.
